As from 18 December 2015, the Northcote Swim Club will NOT be holding Learn-to-Swim or Squad swimming lessons (this includes the proposed holiday swim camp) in the Northcote College pool.

The school has appointed BELGRAVIA LEISURE to run swimming lessons in the school pool starting Term 1, 2016. They are keen to retain all the current swimmers within their new structure and more information will be emailed out to you, and posted on this site as we are informed.

From all the committee, we sincerely thank you for being a part of a really great little community organisation that provided a much needed resource.

We are also currently recruiting coaches for next Summer Term.  Does this sound like you. Earn extra $$ while at high school or university. Great experience to lead into a Sports Degree, or other sports related qualification. Contact us at to find out more.

About Northcote Swimming Club

Northcote Amateur Swimming Club has a long and proud history of swim coaching on the North Shore of Auckland.  Established over 45 years ago and based at Northcote College, the club provides a fantastic environment to develop young swimmers in our community.

We offer swimming coaching to children from 6-16 years of age, catering to all swim levels and abilities. (Children need to be happy being in the water before we can start lessons as we don't offer one-on-one coaching to help children who are afraid of the water, or who have never spent much time in water)

The focus of the club is to bridge the gap between commercial swimming schools and competitive swimming clubs. It is a non-profit community organisation that aims to provide swim coaching for the lowest cost it is able to. The club offers lessons for confident beginners through to squad training for more advanced swimmers.  It provides a fun and supportive environment where progress is recorded and celebrated.  Squad training focuses on stroke development, fitness and improving tumble turns and diving.  Activities are varied and fun, including race nights.

Club championships are held annually where squad swimmers have an opportunity to compete in age group levels for a vast array of cups and trophies.

We also offer adult lane swimming and/or swim coaching alongside our squad training if child numbers allow.
